Zoe Lacchei è un’affascinante illustratrice italiana cresciuta in un piccolo paese in provincia di Roma che grazie al suo talento è riuscita a fare apprezzare la sua arte anche all’estero.
Le sue illustrazioni ritraggono con uno stile deciso e accurato un immaginario misterioso, torbido, sensuale in uno stato di inquetante calma apparente, prendendo come forza ispiratrice le favole, la cultura giapponese, le atmosfere gotiche e la tattoo art. Tematiche kawaii ma decisamente cattive.

Zoe Lacchei is a fascinating italian illustrator born in a little town near Rome, who managed to be appreciated even abroad thanks to her talent.
Her illustrations paint with a incisive and accurate style a mysterious, turbid, sensual imaginary, while everything is enshrouded by disturbing outward calm, and she is inspired by fairy tales, japanese culture, gothic atmospheres and tattoo art. Kawaii subjects but really bad.

Nel 2004 ha realizzato una serie di tredici illustrazioni per il disco d’oro di Marilyn Manson, “Golden Age of the Grotesque”, dandole così visibilità internazionale, e bissando questa collaborazione nel 2007 per il disco d’oro “Eat Me, Drink Me”.

In 2004 she made thirteen paintings for the Marilyn Manson’s Gold Disc, “Golden Age of the Grotesque”, reaching international visibility, and repeated this collaboration in 2007 for the Gold Disc “Eat Me, Drink Me”.

Nel 2007 ha anche iniziato la realizzazione dei suoi celebri ritratti di geisha, esposti in moltissime gallerie, questo mese nella mostra collettiva ”Candy Coated Canvas“ presso la London Miles Gallery (dal 9 luglio al 2 agosto), mentre nel 2010 la vedremo in Italia, a Roma, alla mostra collettiva “Erotic Drawings” presso Mondo Bizzarro Gallery.

In 2007 she has begun to realize her famous geisha portraits, which have been shown in many galleries, this month at the group show ”Candy Coated Canvas” in London Miles Gallery (9th July - 2nd August), whereas in 2010 at the group show ”Erotic Drawings” in Mondo Bizzarro Gallery, in Rome, Italy.
