In contemporanea a “Carnivorous Beauties” di Zoe Lacchei, La Luz de Jesus Gallery ospita la mostra di un’altra talentuosa giovane artista italiana, Alessia Iannetti, lo show è intitolato “In the Footsteps of My Shadow” e sarà visitabile dal 2 Ottobre al primo Novembre.

Simultaneously with Zoe Lacchei’s show, ‘Carnivorous Beauties‘, La Luz de Jesus Gallery is housing the exhibition of another talented young Italian artist, Alessia Iannetti, entitled ‘In the Footsteps of My Shadow‘ and it is open from October the 2nd to November the 1st.

In questa mostra l’artista toscana reinterpreta la figura del vampiro nell’immaginario comune, non più una creatura avvolta dalle tenebre, ma ricca di sfaccettature e contraddizioni, con un forte legame con la natura, che sembra quasi cullarla e placare la sua sete.

In this exhibition the Tuscan artist reinterprets the myth of the vampire in the collective unconscious, no longer a creature shrouded in darkness, but with many facets and contradictions, with a strong bond to nature, which almost seems to rock her and quench her thirst.

Le opere rappresentano graziose e vivaci vampire adolescenti intente a giocare a nascondino che mostrano con ingenua naturalezza gli affilati canini, allo spettatore immaginare se si tratta di un macabro divertimento o un candido passatempo, oppure delle giovani donne che osservano in disarmante trance le loro mani tinte di scarlatto.

The works present lovely and lively teenager vampires intent on playing hide and seek showing with naive candor their sharp canines, the viewer could imagine if it is a macabre amusment or a innocent pastime, or young women who watch in a disarming trance their scarlet hands.
