Alice Lin è un’artista che vive a Pechino, i suoi interessi sono partiti dalla calligrafia per poi spaziare dall’illustrazione alla pittura e al design 3D e il suo suo stile si riporta al surrealismo interpretato in chiave dark ed emozionale.
Nelle sue opere la tradizione orientale è molto presente, in un mix di acquerello e diverse tecniche classiche cinesi che vengono reinterpretate secondo contaminazioni più moderne, anche occidentali.

Alice Lin is a Beijing based illustrator, her interests started from calligraphy and then have ranged over illustration, painting and 3D design and her style is connected to surrealism interpreted with a dark and emotional touch.
In her works it’s clear the Eastern tradition, in a mix of watercolor and many Chinese classical techniques that are reinterpreted according to modern, even Western, contaminations.

Alice Lin represents with extreme delicacy and richness in details a symbolic world where we can be influenced by the fragile relations between human beings, flora and fauna, where the concepts of birth and death permeate her creations with great naturalness.

Ogni dipinto è libero di essere interpretato dall’osservatore e suscita emozioni che fanno leva sul suo vissuto, sui suoi ricordi anche risalenti all’infanzia, Alice Lin non nasconde infatti di ispirarsi molto alle favole, all’infanzia e alle percezioni soggettive.

Each painting is free to be interpreted by the observer and arouses different emotions according to his experience, even to his memories from childhood, Alice Lin does not hide in fact to be inspired by fairy tales, childhood and subjective perceptions.
