Amy Sol è cresciuta in Korea, in seguito si è trasferita a Las Vegas, è un’artista autodidatta che trae ispirazione dai manga, dall’arte folk, dalle illustrazioni e animazioni vintage.
La sua inconfondibile palette dai toni tenui è il risultato di molti anni passati a sperimentare con colori e mezzi, che si sposa in grande armonia con il suo stile bidimensionale, dalle sfumature dolci e dai contorni gentili.

Amy Sol spent her childhood years in Korea then moved to Las Vegas, she is self taught artist who draws inspiration from manga, folk-art, vintage illustrations and animations.
Her distinctive color palette of muted tones is the result of many years of experimenting with colors and mediums, which is in great harmony with her two-dimensional style, with soft shades and outlines.

In “Incantation” Amy Sol focalizza la sua indagine nel mondo sovrannaturale, nella relazione tra le qualità esoteriche femminili e la natura, soprendendo le protagoniste delle sue opere nel momento dell’evocazione, nell’intimo istante in cui il desiderio sta prendendo forma e in cui si percepisce una maggiore urgenza di proteggerlo e preservarlo.

In “Incantation” Amy Sol focuses her research into the supernatural world, into the relationship between the esoteric qualities of femininity and nature, finding the protagonists of her works in a moment of evocation, in the intimate moment when the wish is becoming real and when you need to protect and preserve it.
