“Avengers: Age Of Ultron” è l’undicesimo film del Marvel Cinematic Universe, diretto da Josh Whedon che si riconferma regista dopo “The Avengers”, e distribuito da The Walt Disney Company nelle sale italiane dal 22 aprile.
Il 17 aprile abbiamo assistito alla preview e il 23 aprile abbiamo partecipato all’incontro stampa con Josh Whedon che ci ha svelato alcuni retroscena di questo magnifico film.

“Avengers: Age of Ultron” is the eleventh film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, directed by Josh Whedon, confirmed as director after “The Avengers”, and distributed by The Walt Disney Company in Italian cinemas from April 22.
On April 17 we watched the premiere and on April 23 we attended the press conference with Josh Whedon that revealed some details of this great movie.

Trama / Plot

Nel film “The Avengers”, per difendere New York da un’invasione aliena, si è formata la squadra dei nostri supereroi preferiti: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Vedova Nera e Occhio di Falco. Nei precedenticapitoli Marvel, gli Avengers sono stati ancora duramente messi alla prova e si sono ricuciti le ferite: Tony Stark in “Iron Man 3″ ha visto la Stark Tower distrutta, Thor in “Thor: The Dark World” ha rinunciato a regnare su Asgard, Steve Rogers in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” ha lottato contro il suo migliore amico e smantellato lo S.H.I.E.L.D..
Proprio quando è tornata la pace, la squadra degli Avengers rischierà di distruggersi e si troverà a difendere il mondo da un nuovo villain: Ultron, un robot che vuole distruggere tutta l’umanità.
Nel corso della storia gli Avengers affronteranno due nuovi personaggi introdotti nella scena post-credits del film “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, i gemelli Quicksilver e Scarlet Witch.

In the movie “The Avengers” our favorite superheroes create a team to defend New York from an alien invasion: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye. In the previous Marvel movies, The Avengers were still severely put to the test and healed all wounds: Tony Stark in “Iron Man 3″ has seen the Stark Tower destroyed, Thor in “Thor: The Dark World” declined Odin’s offer to take the throne of Asgard, Steve Rogers in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” fought against his best friend and dismantled the S.H.I.E.L.D..
Just when the peace is restored, the Avengers have to defend the world again from a new villain: Ultron, a robot who wants to destroy all humanity.
The Avengers this time face two new characters introduced in the post-credits scene of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”, the twins Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch.

According to Whedon the Marvel mood is a mix of irony, science fiction and humor in the service of a epic fun.

Il rapporto tra Joss Whedon e l’Italia
Whedon ci ha parlato del suo amore per l’Italia, un amore nato in giovane età, quando Joss si recava nel nostro Paese insieme alla sua famiglia. La pellicola si apre proprio con una maestosa location italiana: il Forte di Bard in Valle D’Aosta, che nel film è diventato la roccaforte dell’Hydra situata in una nazione fittizia chiamata Sokovia.

The connection between Joss Whedon and Italy
Whedon spoke about his love for Italy, a love born at a young age, when Joss visited our country with his family. The film opens in a majestic Italian location: Fort Bard in Aosta Valley, that in the movie is the Hydra stronghold located in a fictional country called Sokovia.

Le differenze tra il fumetto e il film
Del fumetto Marvel “Age of Ultron” sono stati ripresi soltanto i personaggi, mentre la storia è stata creata appositamente per il film “Avengers: Age of Ultron”. Ultron, che nel fumetto è solo un robot che vuole uccidere, in questo film è un personaggio più stratificato: un alter ego di Tony Stark con cui ha un rapporto figlio-padre.

The differences between the comic and the movie
The comic and the movie have in common the characters, while the plot was created specifically for the film. Ultron in the comics is just a robot who wants to kill, in this film is deeper: an alter ego of Tony Stark with whom he has a father-son relationship.

L’Avenger più forte
Alla domanda “Chi è il più forte tra Iron Man e Hulk?”, Whedon ha immediatamente risposto senza alcun dubbio: “Hulk!!!”.

To the question “Who is the strongest between Iron Man and the Hulk?”, Whedon responded immediately without any doubt: “Hulk!!!”.

Il rapporto tra Whedon e Marvel
Whedon ha annunciato che molto probabilmente non dirigerà anche il prossimo capitolo degli Avengers per evitare di cadere in un filone ripetitivo, ma si è detto disponibile a proseguire il suo rapporto come consulente per le prossime pellicole, come ha già fatto per tutti i film Marvel che si sono succeduti dopo “The Avengers”.

The relation between Whedon and Marvel
Whedon announced that most likely will not direct again the next chapter of the Avengers because of the risk of a physical and mental exhaustion, but he said that he is willing to continue as a consultant for the upcoming movies, as he did for all the films after “The Avengers.”

Commento / Review

Gli Avengers sono dei fortissimi supereroi, ma, se dal punto di vista fisico non hanno rivali e sanno affontare qualsiasi villain, alieno o robot che sia, dal lato mentale sono invece profondamente umani e pieni di dubbi e incertezze. In questo film abbiamo scoperto le loro più grandi paure e sono state proprio queste a metterli più in difficoltà e alla prova.
Il film è ricco di scontri epici davvero coinvolgenti, in un susseguirsi di colpi di scena che ti tengono incollato al maxi schermo. C’è lo zampino di Tony Stark nell’upgrade delle armi: lo scudo di Captain America diventato magnetico, tanti tipi di nuove frecce per Occhio di Falco e, finalmente, calzoncini elasticizzati per Hulk per non lasciar più nudo il povero Bruce Banner.
Azione, miscelata con dell’umorismo ben dosato, ma, rispetto al primo The Avengers, più sentimentalismo: una strana coppia si sta formando all’interno della squadra.
Finalmente in questo film vengono meglio sviluppati Occhio di Falco e Vedova Nera che purtroppo non avevano potuto beneficiare di un capitolo dedicato.
Non vediamo già l’ora di vedere il prossimo film Marvel e in particolar modo Thor.

The Avengers are physically very strong, but deep down inside are human and full of doubts and uncertainties. In this film we discovered their greatest fears that put them to the test.
The movie is full of absorbing epic battles, with many coup de théâtre that keep you glued to the screen. Tony Stark has upgraded the weapons: the shield of Captain America is now magnetic, many kinds of new arrows to Hawkeye and, finally, stretch shorts for Hulk.
Action mixed with well-dosed humor, but, compared to the first Avengers, more romanticism thanks to a Odd couple in the team.
Finally in this movie there is a character analysis of Hawkeye and Black Widow who unfortunately haven’t a movie on their own.
We look forward to watching the next Marvel movie and especially Thor.
