“Avengers: Endgame” è il ventiduesimo film e penultimo della terza fase del Marvel Cinematic Universe, diretto da Anthony e Joe Russo si colloca idealmente come seguito di “Avengers: Infinity War”.

“Avengers: Endgame” is the twenty-second and second to last film of the third phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo ideally placed as a sequel to “Avengers: Infinity War”.
It stars: Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark / Iron Man), Chris Evans (Steve Rogers / Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner / Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow ), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton / Hawkeye), Brie Larson (Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang / Ant-Man), Don Cheadle (Colonel James Rhodes / War Machine), Karen Gillan (Nebula) , Danai Gurira (Okoye), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts), Jon Favreau (Happy Hogan), Benedict Wong (Wong), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Josh Brolin (Thanos).
The film was released in Italy on April 24th and in the United States on April 26th 2019.

Trama / Plot

Sono passati 5 anni dallo schiocco di dita di Thanos, che ha posto fine all’esistenza di metà delle specie viventi, incontriamo gli Avengers superstiti che portano ancora sulle spalle il peso del proprio fallimento e la sofferenza di aver perso i propri cari è più viva e bruciante che mai.
La chiave di volta a ridare una speranza è Ant-Man, che era rimasto intrappolato nel regno quantico e per lui lì sono passati solo 5 giorni anziché 5 anni. Secondo lui è possibile sfruttare il regno quantico per viaggiare nel tempo.
Gli Avengers superstiti si riuniscono per intraprendere l’impresa di cancellare lo snap di Thanos attraverso un pericoloso e ignoto viaggio nel tempo alla ricerca delle gemme dell’infinito.

Five years after Thanos’s snap, which disintegrates half of all life across the universe, we see the survived Avengers who still carry on their shoulders the weight of their own failure and the suffering of the death of their loved ones.
The last hope is Ant-Man, who was trapped in the quantum realm and in that place 5 years lasted only 5 days for him. So he theorizes that the quantum realm can allow time travel.
The survived Avengers gather to cancel Thanos’s snap through a dangerous and unknown time travel in search of the Infinity Gems.

Commento / Review

Con “Avengers: Endgame” si chiude in modo spettacolare un capitolo durato 10 anni e non è facile accettarne la fine.
Abbiamo apprezzato molto il film e le tre ore al cinema sono volate, c’è stato un grande equilibrio tra i momenti più introspettivi dei personaggi nella prima parte e l’intensa azione dell’attesissima epica battaglia finale, a nostro avviso la migliore mai realizzata nel MCU.
È stato emozionante vedere quasi tutti i personaggi del MCU prendere parte a questo grande progetto, in una carrellata di ricordi senza forzature, ogni personaggio si incastrava perfettamente nell’arco temporale in cui è stato collocato e nella sua missione.
Non ci sono stati temuti “buchi di trama” causati dal viaggio temporale e l’atmosfera, nonostante l’humor di alcuni personaggi, è stata comprensibilmente più cupa rispetto agli altri film Marvel.
Preparate i fazzoletti per un film che è già un must-watch e che sgretolerà in buona parte le previsioni fatte e che vi lascerà pieni di emozioni e svuotati allo stesso tempo.

“Avengers: Endgame” is the last chapter of a ten-year story that ends in a spectacular way and it is not easy to accept it.
We really enjoyed the film and time flies while watching it, there was a great balance between the most introspective moments of the characters in the first part and the intense action of the long-awaited epic final battle, the best ever made in the MCU in our opinion.
It was exciting to see almost all the characters of the MCU take part in this great project, in a succession of memories that flows unstrained, all the characters fit perfectly in the time frame in which they were placed and in their mission.
There weren’t the feared plot holes created by time travels, and the mood, despite the humor of some characters, was understandably darker than in the other Marvel movies.
Get your handkerchiefs ready for a movie that is a must-watch and that will destroy the forecasts and will leave you full of emotions and emptied at the same time.
