Non Solo Kawaii

Il 7 ottobre 2009 il Kawaii Team è andato a scuola di trucco da Rajan Tolomei, make up artist di Max Factor. Mentre nello scorso appuntamento Rajan ci aveva presentato 2 look estivi, ora si riparte “dalla base”.
“Il biglietto da visita di una donna? Il fondotinta”, ha risposto Rajan.
On October 7, 2009, the Kawaii Team went to the make-up lesson by Rajan Tolomei, make-up artist of the brand Max Factor. While Rajan made 2 summer looks in the previous appointment, now he starts “from the base”.
“The business card of a woman? The foundation”, said Rajan.

I consigli “tecnici” di Rajan:
The Rajan “technical” advice:

• Per individuare la tonalità giusta di fondotinta, testare il colore sulla zona tra la mandibola e il collo, se il colore si confonde perfettamente con l’incarnato è quello giusto.
  To find the right colour of foundation, test the color on the area between the jaw and neck, if the colour blends perfectly with the complexion is the right one.
• Appena stesa la cipria evidenzierà tutti i difetti della pelle (peletti, imperfezioni, etc), ma dopo 15-20 minuti si fonderà con il fondotinta e i difetti verranno minimizzati.
  When the face powder is Just applied, it will highlight all the defects of the skin (hairs, blemishes, etc), but after 15-20 minutes it will merge with the foundation and defects will be minimized.
• È meglio acquistare i prodotti che devono fondersi alla perfezione della stessa marca, come per esempio il fondotinta e il correttore.
  It is better to buy the products that have to merge very well with the same brand, such as the foundation and the concealer.
• Il fondotinta, per via dei suoi componenti, contiene già di per sè un fattore di protezione solare non inferiore ad 8, ma è importante concentrare la protezione solare nella crema viso, poichè il fondotinta altrimenti risuterebbe troppo pastoso con un’alta protezione.
  The foundation in its compositions already contains a sun protection factor (not less than 8), but it is important that the face cream has an higher sun protection, because otherwise the foundation would result too mellow with an high sun protection.
• Il fondotinta non serve solo per migliorare il proprio incarnato e nascondere i difetti, ma è una protezione contro gli agenti esterni che ogni giorno colpiscono il viso. Per esempio chi ha la pelle grassa e mista avrà anche una barriera contro lo sporco che entrando nei pori dilatati favorisce la comparsa dei punti neri.
  The foundation does not improve only your complexion and hide blemishes, but it is above all a protection against external agents that affect the face every day. For example who have oily and mixed skin will also have a barrier against dirt which, entering the pores, favors the appearance of blackheads.

Rajan Tolomei, oltre ad essere un professonista, è anche un vero e proprio intrattenitore, e durante l’incontro ci ha deliziato con quel suo modo di fare diretto e spiritoso.

In these days we test them and here there are our opinions.

Angela

• Fondotinta Second Skin: Questo fondotinta fluido si stende facilmente con le dita e sembra quasi scomparire, pur risultando coprente. Molto leggero e resistente: durante la giornata non ho avuto necessità di ritoccarlo. Ne sono rimasta entusiasta.
• Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow: Ho sempre cercato di evitare gli ombretti in crema perchè solitamente, dopo un po’, creano una linea di prodotto nella rima palpebrale, cosa che invece non accade usando Masterpiece Eyeshadow. Questa linea di ombretti è waterproof: sono molto duraturi e non si rovinano durante la giornata (nemmeno se vi sfregate per sbaglio gli occhi!). Facili e rapidi da sfumare, perfetti anche per chi non ha molto tempo per truccarsi. La gamma di colori è classica, con tonalità sobrie che si adattano alla perfezione in qualsiasi momento delle giornata. Spero che presto incrementino la gamma con colori più vivaci.
• Mascara Masterpiece Max: Grazie al pennellino di plastica (Max Factor ne è stato l’inventore, ancor prima di Chanel!) le ciglia restano ben separate ed eleganti. Si ha un effetto più sobrio rispetto all’inarrivabile False Lash Effect che crea occhi come quelli delle bambole.

• Second Skin Foundation: This fluid foundation is easy to apply with your fingers and seems almost to disappear, despite of its covering. It’s very light and durable: during the day I had no need for touching up it. I loved it.
• Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow: I always tried to avoid the cream eyeshadows because normally, after a while, the colour create a ugly line in the crease, and it does not happen using Masterpiece Eyeshadow. This line of eyeshadow is waterproof: they are very durable and do not fade during the day (even if you accidentally rub your eyes!). They are easy and quick to blend, perfect for those who do not have much time for makeup. The palette is classic, with somber tones perfect in any time of the day. I hope that soon there will be more colours, also with bright colors.
• Mascara Masterpiece Max: The plastic brush (Max Factor has been the inventor, even before Chanel!)separates well the lashes. It is more sober than teh great False Lash Effect which creates doll-eyes.

• Fondotinta Second Skin: devo dire che mi sono trovata bene nonostante avendo al pelle mista preferisco prodotti compatti o minerali che tendono a contenere l’oleosità e a non favorire la lucidità.
  Non l’ho trovato pesante e ha una copertura media, così da decidere la copertura aggiungendo il prodotto sino ad ottenere l’effetto desiderato. Adesso che inizia a sentirsi il freddo lo sostituirò ai miei prodotti in polvere, perchè la pelle inizierà ad essere più secca e il fondotinta in polvere si insinua con grande facilità nelle screpolature.
• Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow: l’ombretto fluido lo sto testando ormai da una settimana ed è sempre restato lì dove l’ho messo la mattina fino a sera. Si stende velocemente e si può decidere se avere una velatura o più colore aggiungendo prodotto. Davvero fantastico! L’intensità del colore non è altissima, da leggera a media, ma il colore non svanirà durante la giornata e non ci sono problemi a sovrapporvi la matita. Si può usare con buoni risultati anche come illuminante zigomi e sotto l’arcata sopraccigliare.
• Mascara Masterpiece Max: devo dire che Rajan aveva proprio ragione nel primo incontro quando diceva che il mascara False Lash Effect è il migliore in circolazione, di certo è il migliore che ho provato io, che sono una amante delle ciglia effetto bambola supervoluminose e intense. Con queste premesse ho provato Masterpiece Max, che dà un’ottima definizione, separando ogni ciglia ma restando più discreto nel volume rispetto a False Lash Effect. Diciamo che quest’ultimo è l’ideale per la sera e Masterpiece Max per il giorno, ma per quanto mi riguarda, una volta provato False Lash Effect è dura tornare indietro!

• Second Skin Foundation: I have to say that it’s comfortable, even if i prefer powder or mineral products because of my mixed skin, which tend to contain the oily.
  It’s not heavy and has a medium level of coverage, so it’s possible to decide the coverage by adding the product until it is the desired effect. Now that it’s more cold i will replace my powder products, because the skin begin to be drier and the foundation powder penetrates easly in the cracks.
• Masterpiece Colour Precision Eyeshadow: I’m testing the liquid eyeshadow for a week and it is just where i put it in the morning until evening. It’s easy to blend it quickly and you can decide to have a veil or adding more colour. Fantastic! The intensity of the colour is not very high, from light to medium, but the colour does not fade during the day and there are no problems to superimpose the eyeliner. It can be also used with good results as brightening blush and under the eyebrows.
• Mascara Masterpiece Max: I have to say that Rajan was right at the first meeting when he said that the False Lash Effect mascara is the best, it certainly is the best I tested and i am a lover of voluminous and intense eyelashes with doll-effect. Masterpiece Max gives a good definition, separating each eyelash but it remains more discreet than False Lash Effect, which gives more volume. False Lash Effect is perfect for the evening and Masterpiece Max for the day, but for me, once i’ve experienced False Lash Effect, it is hard to go back!
