“City in the sky” è un progetto concepito da Tsvetan Toshkov, un architetto che lavora a Londra, che ha pensato a delle aree di meditazione che si innalzino dallo stress e dal caos cittadino.

“City in the sky” is a project designed by London-based architect Tsvetan Toshkov, who has imagined meditation areas above city stress and chaos.

“City in the sky” fa parte di “Megatropolis”, un progetto che invita artisti ed architetti ad immaginare come potrebbero evolversi in futuro le città ultraurbanizzate. In questo contesto “City in the sky” si propone come una visione fantastica che spinge a sognare, un esercizio di stile che si libera dai vincoli strutturali, come dice l’autore stesso:

“Anche se è presentato in modo realistico, il progetto non intende esserlo dal punto di vista strutturale e ingegneristico o essere un vero ambiente in cui vivere. È la visione artistica di un tranquillo rifugio dallo stress della vita quotidiana”.

“City in the sky” is part of “Megatropolis”, a project that invites artists and architects to imagine how mega-developed cities could evolve in the future, in this context “City in the sky” is a fantastic vision that makes us dream, an exercise in style free in terms of structure-engineering, as the author himself says:

“Although it is realistically presented, the concept doesn’t intend to be realistic in terms of structure-engineering or real living environment. It is an artistic imagination of a tranquil hideaway from the stress of everyday life.”

Le strutture di “City in the sky” sono ispirate ai fiori di loto, che si stagliano con la loro purezza sulle acque stagnanti e nella vita di tutti i giorni rappresentano un’oasi di pace dalle preoccupazioni e dai problemi.
“City in the sky” è idealmente un angolo di paradiso quieto e verde che avvicina l’uomo alla natura, anche nei luoghi più frenetici.

“City in the sky” design is inspired by the lotus flowers, which grows pure above the murky waters and in everyday life is an oasis from worries and problems.
“City in the sky” is a slice of heaven, peaceful and green that connects people to nature, even in chaotic places.

A noi piace pensare che questi meravigliosi fiori di loto verranno costruiti in un futuro non troppo lontano.
