Il tocco amaro delle fiabe originali dei Fratelli Grimm e di Hans Christian Andersen, che viene restituito ai personaggi rivisitati in chiave spensierata nei cartoni Disney, è unito al tratto leggero dei suoi disegni, donando a queste giovani donne un’adorabile fragilità, bilanciata da un impalpabile senso di inquietudine.
Affiorano così le ombre di Biancaneve e Cappuccetto Rosso e il dolore della Sirenetta, così come narrato in origine da Andersen.

The bitter touch of the original fairy tales written by the Brothers Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen, which is given back to the characters revisited in a light-hearted way by Disney, is merged with the light stroke of her drawings, giving a lovely fragility to these young women, balanced by an undefinable sense of unease.
So the shadows of Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood emerge and we can see the pain of the Little Mermaid, as originally told by Andersen.

Amo moltissimo anche la serie di illustrazioni dal tema “Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie” realizzate per La Marelle, nei disegni la fiaba di Lewis Carroll viene interpretata con fantasia e sensibilità.
Adoro il fenicottero rosa che diventa parte della teiera e fiocco decorativo sotto il viso di Alice, mi sono innamorata delle lampade alla base del fungo che ricordano l’immaginario di Tim Walker e trovo delizioso il particolare delle trecce alla chioma dello Stregatto.

I really love “Alice in Wonderland” series made for La Marelle, Lewis Carroll fairy tale is interpreted with imagination and feeling in her drawings.
I love the pink flamingos, which become part of the teapot and the decorative bow undere Alice face, I love the lamps under the mushroom which remind of Tim Walker imaginary, and the detail of Cheshire Cat braids is adorable.

Anche se non rientra nella serie delle rivisitazioni “fiabesche” non posso non inserire la dolce illustrazione di “Rose Rabbit”, così delicata e soffice che è quasi possibile sentire il profumo della rosa e la morbidezza del manto del coniglietto.

Although isn’t part “fairy-tale” series, I add the sweet “Rose Rabbit” illustration, it’s so delicate and soft that you can almost smell the scent of the rose and feel the softness of the bunny.
