Il romanzo di L. Frank Baum prende vita ancora una volta, ma non ci sono le scarpette rosse di Dorothy, lo Spaventapasseri, l’Uomo di Latta e il Leone.
Dopo il film del 1939 “Il mago di Oz”, Disney ha portato in scena il prequel “Il grande e potente Oz” che racconta la storia del mago di Oz.
Oz, nel film interpretato da James Franco, è un avido illusionista e seduttore incallito che, giunto in seguito ad un tornado nella Terra di Oz, scopre di essere il protagonista di una profezia che lo annuncia come il salvatore di questo mondo.
Ad accompagnare Oz in questa straordinaria avventura lungo il sentiero di mattoni gialli ci sono la scimmia volante Finley e una dolcissima bambola di porcellana. Sarà molto difficile per Oz, se non impossibile, resistere al fascino delle tre bellissime streghe: Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) e Glinda (Michelle Williams).

L. Frank Baum’s novel became a movie again, but this time there are no Dorothy’s ruby slippers, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Lion.
After the 1939 movie “The Wizard of Oz”, Disney has made the prequel “Oz the Great and Powerful” which tells the story of the Wizard of Oz.
Oz is played by James Franco, he’s an avid magician and a seducer, who is sucked into a tornado that takes him to the Land of Oz and he finds out to be the savior of this world according to a prophecy.
Oz’s fellows of this extraordinary adventure along yellow brick path are the flying monkey Finley and a sweet China doll. It will be very hard to Oz to resist the charm of the three beautiful witches: Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams).
