Il 3 novembre si è tenuta la conferenza stampa del Musical “Hello Kitty the Show, musical di una favola moderna” presso il Teatro Nuovo di Milano, e il Kawaii Team non poteva lasciarsi sfuggire questa preview!
Lo spettacolo debutterà a Milano in prima mondiale il 9 febbraio 2010 per poi girare l’Italia passando per Torino, Firenze, Roma, Trieste, Napoli, Bari, Genova, Bologna e Padova, ma la cosa che più sorprende è che questo musical interamente made in Italy verrà esportato anche all’estero facendo tappa dall’ottobre 2010 in Gran Bretagna, Francia, Portogallo e altre nazioni europee.

On November 3 there was a press conference of the musical “Hello Kitty the Show, musical di una favola moderna” (Hello Kitty the Show, a musical of a modern tale) at the Teatro Nuovo in Milan and the Kawaii Team could not miss this preview!
The show will debut the world premiere in Milan on February 9, 2010, and then touring Italy via Turin, Florence, Rome, Trieste, Naples, Bari, Genoa, Bologna and Padua, but the most surprising thing is that the musical is entirely made in Italy and will be exported abroad by stage from October 2010 in Great Britain, France, Portugal and other European nations.

Anche “Hello Kitty the Show” è stato organizzato per festeggiare il 35° compleanno di Hello Kitty e Sanrio ha affidato questo compito a Poltronissima in collaborazione con Mas, Music Arts & Show, aziende con grande esperienza nel settore, che vantano spettacoli come “Winx On Ice” e “Scooby Doo Live on Stage”.
“Hello Kitty the Show, musical di una favola moderna” è uno spettacolo pensato per intrattenere tutta la famiglia, come vuole la tradizione dei musical di Broadway e strizza l’occhio ai bambini, ma le scenografie ricche e tecnologiche e le musiche pop rock sono pensate per accontentare un pubblico estremamente vasto, come potete vedere nel video preview che segue.

The ”Hello Kitty The Show” was organized also to celebrate the 35th birthday of Hello Kitty and Sanrio has entrusted this task to Poltronissima in collaboration with Mas, Music & Arts Show, companies with great experience in the field, which have shows like “Winx On Ice” and “Scooby Doo Live on Stage”.
“Hello Kitty the Show, musical di una favola moderna” wants to entertain the whole family, following the tradition of Broadway musicals and paying a special attention to the children, but the rich and technologic scenery and the  pop rock music will satisfy a very wide audience, as you can see in the video preview below.

Le musiche saranno cantate dal vivo su basi registrate, i testi delle canzoni saranno quasi tutti in italiano e in piccola parte in inglese quando la storia ne richiede necessariamente l’utilizzo, naturalmente nel tour europeo le parti in italiano verranno tradotte a seconda della nazione.
Uno spettacolo coinvolgente che promette di catturare l’attenzione dello spettatore per tutta la durata dello spettacolo, 1 ora e 50 minuti.

The music will be sung live on backing track, the lyrics are almost all in Italian and partially in English when the story necessarily requires it, of course, in the European tour the Italian songs will be translated depending on the country.
The involving show promises to catch the attention of the audience throughout the show, 1 hour and 50 minutes.

La storia parla di tre ragazze che cercano di cambiare le loro vite alla ricerca di un sogno, tre ragazze di 18 anni molto diverse tra loro, proprio come sono eterogenee le amanti di Hello Kitty, che potranno riconoscersi nelle protagoniste.
Inevitabilmente nel musical è presente la figura di un antagonista e di Hello Kitty, rivisitata in chiave moderna, non più una piccola mascotte dolce, ma una ragazza slanciata ed elegante ma trendy, che canta, balla e parla ma ovviamente sempre con il volto tipico di Hello Kitty.
La nostra cara gattina irromperà nella vita delle tre ragazze e… non possiamo svelarvi di più!
Alla conferenza era presente anche Yuko Yamaguchi, disegnatrice di Hello Kitty, a cui è stato chiesto cosa rappresenta Hello Kitty, ed ecco la sua risposta (tradotta).

The story is about three girls who try to change their lives in search of a dream, three 18 year old girls very different among each other, as are heterogeneous the fans of Hello Kitty, who could identify themselves with the protagonists.
Inevitably in this musical there is an antagonist and Hello Kitty, revisited in modern way, no longer a sweet little mascot, but a sleek, elegant and tendy girl, who sings, dances and speaks but of course always with the typical face of Hello Kitty.
Our dear kitty bursts in the lives of the three girls and … we can not reveal more!
At the conference there was also Yuko Yamaguchi, designer of Hello Kitty, to whom was asked what Hello Kitty represents, and here is her reply (translated).

Su chi interpreterà Hello Kitty è ancora un mistero ma sono state presentate le tre “Kitty Girls”, selezionate dopo numerosi casting tra Milano, Parigi e Londra:
Who will interpret Hello Kitty is still a mystery but the three “Kitty Girls”, selected after several casting between Milan, Paris and London, were presented:

• Marina Maniglio (Bari, 5-12-1990)
• Selene Scarpolini (Varese, 9-03-1988)
• Tania Tuccinardi (Fondi, Roma, 14-08-1986)

Le “Kitty Girls” hanno tutte già avuto esperienze nel mondo dello spettacolo: Marina Maniglio ha recentemente partecipato insieme al papà alla trasmissione “Vuoi ballare con me?” condotta da Lorella Cuccarini su Sky Canale 109, Selene Scarpolini è ballerina e in particolare sono felice di ritrovare Tania Tuccinardi che avevo già avuto il piacere di vedere nel ruolo di Giulietta in “Giulietta e Romeo” di Cocciante, in alternanza con Alessandra Ferrari.
In scena accompagneranno le “Kitty Girls”, Hello Kitty e l’antagonista un cast di 30 cantanti, attori e ballerini.

The “Kitty Girls” have all already been experienced in the entertainment: Marina Maniglio has recently appeared with her dad in the TV show  “Vuoi ballare con me?” (Shall we dance?) anchored by Lorella Cuccarini on Sky Channel 109, Selene Scarpolini is a dancer, and in particular i’m happy to find Tania Tuccinardi that I had the pleasure of seeing in the role of Juliet in “Romeo and Juliet” by Cocciante, alternating with Alessandra Ferrari.
On stage the “Kitty Girls will be accompanied by Hello Kitty, the antagonist and the cast of 30 singers, actors and dancers.

La promozione dello spettacolo prevederà alcune iniziative molto interessanti:

• Iniziative a scopo benefico, perchè non bisogna dimenticare che Hello Kitty è ambasciatrice Unicef e vicina ai piccoli in difficoltà;
• Allestimento di un corner-store che venderà prodotti unici e introvabili nei foyer dei teatri;
• Uscita anticipata rispetto al musical del CD della colonna sonora e la promozione di un singolo che passerà nei canali radiofonici, ma anche in televisione con un videoclip.

The promotion of the show will include some very interesting initiatives:

• Initiatives in aid of charity, because Hello Kitty is also an Unicef ambassador closer to children in difficulty;
• Setting up a corner-store that will sells unique and rare products in the foyers of the theaters;
• The release of the musical soundtrack and the promotion of a sigle which will be played on the radio channels, but also on television with a video clip.

• Hello Kitty è nata il 1° Novembre 1974 nella periferia di Londra;
• Il cognome di Hello Kitty è White;
• Inizialmente viene chiamata “Kitty White” dal nome di uno dei gatti di Alice del libro “Attraverso lo specchio e quel che Alice trovò” di Lewis Carrol e seguito di “Le avventure di Alice nel Paese delle meraviglie”;

• Il primo prodotto Hello Kitty è stato un porta monete di plastica del costo di 220 yen (meno di 2 euro) nel 1975
• La bambola più preziosa di Hello Kitty è stata realizzata da Swarovsky per l’evento “Hello Kitty Selection”, ricoperta di 62.000 cristalli per un valore di circa 60.000 euro;
