The young US illustrator Kelsey Beckett presents ‘Murmuration’, 10 new oil paintings on canvas for her solo show at the Corey Helford Gallery in California from January 21th to February 18th.

Si percepisce un enorme silenzio guardando i lavori di Kelsey Beckett, delle composizioni equilibrate che trasmettono armonia di forme e colori, dosati sapientemente tra tonalità più accese e desature, dove l’occhio viene rapito prima da alcuni elementi, come il colore porpora e pesca delle labbra delle fanciulle, per poi vagare all’interno del quadro e scoprire una tempesta di emozioni negli occhi delle modelle.

You can feel a deep silence watching Kelsey Beckett’s works, balanced compositions that convey harmony of shapes and colors, wisely dosed between bright and subdued shades, where the eye is catched at first by some elements, like the purple and the peach color of the lips of the girls, then wandering into the picture finding out the storm of emotions in the eyes of the models.

The elements in the paintings and their titles guide us searching of a meaning that the observer will also looking for in his own personal experience in a connection between art and ego, where sensuality, emotional upheaval and melancholy of the models begin a dialogue that goes beyond the frame.
