“Nothing But Perception” è il nome della seconda personale dell’artista giapponese Naoto Hattori alla Dorothy Circus Gallery di Roma, dove vengono presentate 11 opere inedite dal 12 Aprile al 6 Maggio.

“Nothing But Perception” is the name of the second solo exhibition of the Japanese artist Naoto Hattori at the Dorothy Circus Gallery in Rome, where 11 new works are displayed from April 12 to May 6.

Naoto Hattori dipinge i suoi incubi, sogni e visioni, rappresentati senza compromessi, in uno spazio sospeso e fluttuante, abitato da creature dalle linee morbide, che offrono dolci espressioni ma allo stesso tempo non rassicuranti.

Naoto Hattori paints his nightmares, dreams and visions, represented without any compromises, in a suspended and floating space, inhabited by creatures with soft lines, who offer sweet expressions but at the same time not reassuring.

“Oggi abbiamo computer, video e molte altre cose, che contribuiscono a rendere l’arte contemporanea astratta, le persone dipendono dai computer e tendono a mettere da parte l’arte tradizionale.
Sono giovane, ma vorrei mostrare al pubblico che la pittura surrealista non è ancora morta.
Continuo a fare nuove opere e stupire le persone attraverso le mie visioni”

“Now we have a computer, a video and numerous other things, so that contemporary art became abstract and people rely on a computer and tend to forget about traditional art.
I’m young but I just want to show people that surreal style of painting is still not dead.
I keep making fresh pieces and amaze people through my visions”
