Sono stata stylist per due anni. Un amico aveva chiesto di me per la sua sfilata di moda.
Voleva trovare delle collane molto lunghe con pietre nere e nappe. Non riuscivo a trovarle. Così le ho realizzate io.
Dopo la sfilata il fashion director di Bloomingdale’s manifestò il proprio interesse, e Vogue Italia li volle fotografare.
Ho dovuto pensare rapidamente ad un nome! Mi è venuto in mente “nOir” perchè tutti i gioielli erano neri.
Nello stesso periodo incontrai Mash (mio marito / partner), e abbiamo iniziato la produzione di gioielli nel nostro appartamento-studio a King Street.

I had been a stylist for two years. A friend had asked me to style his fashion show.
At the time he wanted me to find super-long jet necklaces with tassels. I couldn’t find them in the market. So I made them myself.
After the show Bloomingdale’s fashion director expressed an interest, and Vogue Italy wanted to shoot them.
I had to think of a name fast! “nOir” came to mind since all the jewelry was black.
At the same exact time I had met Mash (my husband / partner), and we started making jewelry in our studio apartment on King Street.
