Non Solo Kawaii

Il 4 luglio siamo state alla presentazione della collezione autunnale di OPI, Touring America, composta da 12 smalti che si ispirano a diverse città americane e a diverse donne che li indossano.
La collezione è piaciuta ad entrambe perchè è composta non solo da colori prettamente autunnali e toni scuri (i preferiti di Laura), ma anche da colori vivaci e allegri (che Angela ama) per chi vuole essere colorata anche nei mesi freddi.
In fondo all’articolo vi parleremo della nostra esperienza alla presentazione, dove abbiamo conosciuto la banda di OPI Italia che ci ha accolte con grande calore ed entusiasmo.
Nel frattempo vi lasciamo alla nostra personale interpretazione della collezione dove ci siamo divertite ad immaginarci come 4 supereroine americane della DC comics!
Qual è il look che preferite?

On July 4 we went to the presentation of Touring America, the fall collection by OPI, composed of 12 nail polishes inspired by American cities and different kinds of women who wear them.
Both of us love this collection because there are not only autumnal and dark colors (Laura’s favorites), but also bright and vivid (which Angela likes) for those who want to be colorful even in the cold months.
We will talk about our experience at the presentation in the bottom of this article, we met OPI Italy Team who received us with great warmth and enthusiasm.
In the meantime here is our own interpretation of the collection where we enjoyed imagining ourselves as 4 American superheroines from DC Comics!

	Are We There Yet? ♥ Colore / Color: melone con microshimmer arancio / melon with orange microshimmer ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: media / medium ♥ Le nostre impressioni / Our impressions: Un colore aranciato brioso perfetto per tutte le carnagioni. It’s a bright orangish color perfect for all skin tones.

	My Address is “Hollywood” ♥ Colore / Color: rosa Thulian con sottotono freddo e microshimmer rosa e oro / Thulian pink with cool undertone and pink and gold microshimmer ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: media / medium ♥ Le nostre impressioni / Our impressions: Sta benissimo su chi ha un sottotono freddo (rosa), è un colore vintage e romantico reso più moderno dai microshimmer. It looks really good on those who have cool (pink) undertone, it’s a vintage and romantic color but microshimmer makes it more modern.

	I Eat Mainely Lobster ♥ Colore / Color: intenso corallo neon con microshimmer rosa e oro / bright neon coral with pink and gold microshimmer ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: alta / high ♥ Le nostre impressioni / Our impressions: Per tutte le carnagioni è un colore che alla luce rivela i riflessi meravigliosi dei microglitter. It is a color for all the skin tones that shows amazing highlights of microglitter in the sunlight.

	Color to Diner For ♥ Colore / Color: intenso rosso sangue con microshimmer rosa e oro / bright blood red with pink and gold microshimmer ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: media / medium ♥ Le nostre impressioni / Our impressions: Per tutte le carnagioni è un colore molto sensuale reso unico dal colore dei riflessi. It is a very sensual color for all the skin tones, and it is ​​unique thanks to the color of highlights.

	French Quarter for Your Thoughts ♥ Colore / Color: grigio cemento / cement grey ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: medio-bassa / medium-low ♥ Le nostre impressioni / Our impressions: Per tutti i toni di pelle è un grigio puro perfetto per un look neutro. It is a pure gray for all skin tones and perfect for a neutral look

	Suzi Takes the Wheel ♥ Colore / Color: grigio con sottotono verde / grey with green undertone ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: medio-bassa / medium-low ♥ Le nostre impressioni / Our impressions: Per chi ama i colori neutri ma particolari. Se avete un sottotono rosa/freddo sembrerà quasi un verde militare chiaro, mentre se avete un sottotono giallo/caldo i toni di verde risulteranno più smorzati. For those who love neutral but unique colors. If you have a pink/cool undertone, it seems almost a light army green, while if you have a yellow/warm undertone, the green touch is less evident.

	Uh-oh Roll Down the Window ♥ Colore / Color: verde oliva / olive green ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: medio-bassa / medium-low ♥ Le nostre impressioni / Our impressions: È un colore autunnale, ma d’estate sta benissimo con l’abbronzatura. It is an autumnal color, but it looks great on tanned skin during summer.

	A-taupe the Space Needle ♥ Colore / Color: taupe dai toni caldi con sottotono verde / warm taupe with green undertone ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: medio-bassa / medium-low ♥ Le nostre impressioni / Our impressions: Un classico colore autunnale ed invernale arricchito da una goccia di verde. Come per “Suzi Takes the Wheel” il colore avrà risultati diversi in base al vostro sottotono: se avete un sottotono freddo/rosa sembrerà quasi un marrone camouflage, se avete un sottotono caldo/giallo noterete molto meno il tocco di verde. It’s a classic color for autumn and winter and it is enhanced by a drop of green. This color has different results depending on your undertone, as “Suzi Takes the Wheel”: if you have a pink/cool undertone, it seems almost a brown camouflage, if you have a yellow/warm undertone, the green touch is less evident.

	Get in the Expresso Lane ♥ Colore / Color: marrone scuro caldo e intenso / warm and deep dark brown ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: media / medium ♥ Le nostre impressioni / Our impressions: Un colore molto elegante, un passpartout. It’s a very elegant color, essential.

	Honk if You Love OPI ♥ Colore / Color: viola rossastro scuro / dark reddish purple ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: alta / high ♥ Le nostre impressioni / Our impressions: Un colore adatto a tutte le carnagioni, intrigante e femminile. A feminine and fascinating color for all the skin tones.

	Road House Blues ♥ Colore / Color: blu molto scuro intenso tendente al viola / very dark and intense purplish blue ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: alta / high ♥ Le nostre impressioni / Our impressions: Road House Blues è un “finto nero” molto sensuale. Road House Blues is a very sensual “fake black”.

	I Brake for Manicures ♥ Colore / Color: viola scuro opaco e desaturato / matt dark and dusty purple ♥ Coprenza / Pigmentation: alta / high ♥ Consiglio / Advice: Per chi non ama i colori vivaci e per chi cerca un colore neutro e scuro ma con personalità. For those who do not love bright colors and are looking for a neutral dark color with personality.

Angela: 1♥ My Address is “Hollywood” 2♥ Are We There Yet? 3♥ I Eat Mainely Lobster 4♥ French Quarter for Your Thoughts 5♥ Color to Diner For Sulle mie unghie i colori devono spiccare, dare vivacità ed essere in perfetta sintonia con il mio trucco e abbigliamento. Il mio colore preferito e che mancava nel mio “armadio” è “My Address is Hollywood”: è un rosa molto elegante. “Are We There Yet?” e “I Eat Mainely Lobster” sono delle meravigliose tonalità di corallo, da abbinare a un bel blush pescato. Nonostante la mia avversione ai colori neutri, sono rimasta affascinata dai grigi! My nail polishes must stand out, give a bright touch and be in perfect harmony with my makeup and my look. My favorite color, which there wasn’t in my “closet”, is “My Address is Hollywood”: it is a very elegant pink. “Are We There Yet?” and “I Eat Mainely Lobster” are wonderful coral colors to match with a nice peach blush. Even if I usually don’t like neutral colors, I was fascinated by gray colors! Mi sono innamorata anche di “I Eat Mainely Lobster” nonostante di solito non impazzisca per i color corallo e i fluo, ma questo è sicuramente un colore che merita. Avendo una pelle molto chiara e con sottotono freddo/rosa trovo che non mi donino molto i colori che virano al verde militare, ma si tratta del mio gusto personale! I am a huge fan of dark colors and this collection has really amazing deep colors! I also love “I Eat Mainely Lobster” despite I don’t usually go crazy for coral and fluo colors, but this one definitely is worth trying. I have a very fair skin with pink/cool undertone so I don’t think that army greenish colors look good on me, but it is just my personal taste!

Il 4 luglio è stato un giorno davvero emozionante perchè nella bellissima cornice dell’Hotel Carlton Baglioni abbiamo conosciuto chi c’è dietro OPI Italia, quindi il famoso Mr. OPI (Alessandro), suo papà nonchè il presidente di OPI, sua mamma che ci ha raccontato con grande entusiasmo delle collezioni OPI e la gentilissima (e bellissima) Azzurra, la fidanzata di Mr. OPI che tra le altre cose cura la descrizione del colore nell’e-commerce, è grazie a lei se non sbagliamo l’acquisto!
Come è accaduto durante il concorso OPI ci ha seguite e si è occupato di noi il mitico Mr. OPI che si è prestato con simpatia anche a posare per una fotografia circondato dalle “grinfie” di tutte le Opine presenti… Azzurra ha scattato la foto, non temete! Mr. OPI era sotto tiro!!!
Abbiamo anche provato gli smalti grazie alle esperte estetiste OPI che non hanno mancato di soddisfare le nostre curiosità!
Abbiamo anche conosciuto dal vivo le vincitrici del concorso OPI: la mitica Astasia di Trendynail, che per noi era un’amica più che virtuale e quando ci siamo viste sembrava ci conoscessimo da sempre, la simpatica Laura di Tentazione Makeup, la solare Ludovica di Colorfulvanity, la dolce Fanni di Tra il filosofico e il cosmetico, purtroppo non è potuta essere a Milano la bravissima Soffio di Dea, che speriamo di poter conoscere presto! Non possiamo non nominare la biondissima Chiara Tentori editor di “Nailpro” e la mitica Mary di Beauty News e Ibisco Lilla, che ha fatto da “cicerone” alle ragazze arrivate in treno.

July 4 was a really exciting day because we knew who are behind OPI Italy in the beautiful setting of Hotel Carlton Baglioni , the famous Mr. OPI (Alessandro), his dad as well as the president of OPI, her mom who told us about OPI collections with great enthusiasm and Azzurra, Mr. OPI’s girlfriend, she is the very kind (and beautiful) and among other things she write the description of the colors on OPI e-commerce,  we don’t make the wrong purchase thanks to her!
Just like the contest OPI, we were followed by the great Mr. OPI who was so nice to offer himself to pose for a photograph surrounded by Opine’s “claws”… Azzurra took the photo, so do not worry! Mr. OPI was under fire!!!
We have also tried the nail polishes thanks to the expert OPI beauticians who also have satisfied our curiosity!
We also met the winners of OPI contest: the great Astasia from Trendynail, who is more than a virtual friend for us and when we met her it was like we’ve known each other forever, the nice Laura from Tentazione Makeup, the sunny Ludovica from Colorfulvanity, the sweet Fanni from Tra il filosofico e il cosmetico, unfortunately the excellent Soffio di Dea couldn’t come in Milan but we hope to know her in person soon! We must mention also the blonde Chiara Tentori, editor of “Nailpro“, and the great Mary from Beauty News and Ibisco Lilla, who was the “guide” of the girls that come in Milan by train.
