Non Solo Kawaii

Il 21 settembre è stata inaugurata “Rising”, la nuova mostra personale di Junko Mizuno, dove sono presentati con il suo stile unico e inconfondibile dipinti e disegni divisi in quattro temi che fanno parte della storia e del folclore giapponese.

“Rising”, the new solo exhibition by Junko Mizuno at Nucleus Gallery, where we can watch her artworks, painted with her unique style, divided into four themes that are part of Japanese history and folklore.

Tiny Trifecta è la mostra annuale ospitata alla Cotton Candy Machine di Tara McPherson, la cui caratteristica è di dare all’arte un prezzo democratico: ogni artista deve infatti presentare 3 piccole opere che verranno vendute a 100$ ciascuna.

Tiny Trifecta is the annual show held at the Cotton Candy Machine founded by Tara McPherson, whose feature is to give art a democratic price: in fact, each artist must submit 3 small works that will be sold at $100 each.

Bei Badgirl è una giovane artista australiana con uno stile unico che si ispira al movimento Superflat, ai manga e alla Street Art. Si riflette totalmente nelle opere che rappresenta e mi ricorda uno dei personaggi di Junko Mizuno: dolce e sicura di sè, dalla lunga chioma vaporosa.

Badgirl Bei is a young Australian artist with a unique style inspired by the Superflat movement, manga and Street Art. She is reflected in the works and reminds me immediately of one of Junko Mizuno’s characters: sweet and confident with fluffy long hair.

La mostra My Little Pony Project 2012, curata da Sweet Streets per Hasbro, celebra la serie animata “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic”. In mostra sono esposti, oltre ad una trentina di My Little Pony personalizzati, anche numerosi quadri.

My Little Pony Project 2012 is an exhibition curated by Sweet Streets for Hasbro, it celebrates “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic”. In this exhibition it’s possible to watch about thirty customized My Little Ponies and many paintings.

“Venus Cake” è una mostra che raccoglie una serie di quadri di Junko Mizuno con tema “food obsession” fino al 20 aprile presso la galleria Narwhal Project di Toronto. Le pin-up di Junko Mizuno lo sono e assaporano felici i loro cibi preferiti abbigliate di sola lingerie.

“Venus Cake” is an exhibition which is composed by a collection of Junko Mizuno’s paintings that represent the “food obsession” until April 20 at the Narwhal Project gallery in Toronto. Junko Mizuno’s pin-ups are like that and savor their favorite foods wearing only underwear.

La nuova collezione primavera estate 2012 di Fornarina richiama le atmosfere sognanti giapponesi, propone merletti bon ton e sdrammatizza con un tocco rock. Dopo Mijn Schatje e Junko Mizuno, questa primavera è il turno dell’artista giapponese Kahori Maki.

Tiny Trifecta is an exhibition which runs from April 9th to May 1st, 2011, at the Cotton Candy Machine Art Boutique and it has catched my attention because it is composed of more than 100 tiny artworks, at the cost of $100 on the 100th Day of the Year.

Le magical girls sono le protagoniste magiche di un particolare genere di shōjo manga. Magical Girls è anche il nome della mostra organizzata da Sweet Streets presso la galleria Meltdown Comics di Los Angeles dall’1 al 22 aprile.
