“Poison Toffee Apples” è il titolo della prima personale di Paolo Pedroni, artista italiano che seguiamo da qualche anno con grande interesse, le cui opere saranno esposte alla Dorothy Circus Gallery dal 5 Dicembre al 23 Gennaio 2016.
‘Poison Toffee Apples’ is the title of Paolo Pedroni’s first solo exhibition, Italian artist that we follow for several years with great interest, whose artworks are displayed at the Dorothy Circus Gallery from December the 5th to January the 23th, 2016.

La protagonista è la piccola Furry, albina e affetta da ipertricosi, in un viaggio di opera in opera che la vede nella sua quotidiana solitudine ad affrontare con forza la consapevolezza della sua diversità.
A tenerle compagnia gli orsacchiotti, angeli e demoni, che la affiancano silenziosi, facendole forse sentire più presente il peso dell’emarginazione.
The protagonist is the small Furry, albino with hypertrichosis, in a journey from painting to painting that shows her in the daily solitude that has to face with strenght and awareness of her difference.
Silent teddy bears, angels and demons, keep company, perhaps making her feel the weight of marginalization.

Il suo mondo dominato dal bianco viene intervallato dalla presenza delle mele, rosse e lussuriose o nere e avvelenate, dolci e pericolose, a simboleggiare il fascino dei contrasti.
Her world dominated by white is alternated by the presence of apples, red and lustful or black and poisoned, sweet and dangerous, symbolizing the attraction of opposites.

All’opening è stato presentato un limited edition print set di 18 opere Poison Toffee Apples accompagnate da un evocativo testo fiabesco di Jacopo Bosio.
At the opening it will be presented a limited edition print set of 18 Poison Toffee Apples artworks accompanied by an evoking fabled writing by Jacopo Bosio.
