“Il Drago Invisibile”, diretto da David Lowery, è il nuovo film prodotto dalla Walt Disney Pictures, remake dell’omonimo cartone animato del 1977 ispirato al breve racconto di S. S. Field e Seton I. Miller.
Il film è stato girato in live-action e il drago Elliot è animato in computer-generated imagery, uscirà nelle sale italiane il 10 agosto e negli Stati Uniti il 12 agosto.

‘Pete’s Dragon’, directed by David Lowery, is the new film produced by Walt Disney Pictures, a remake of the 1977 homonymous animated movie inspired by the short story written by S. S. Field and Seton I. Miller.
The film was shot in live-action and Elliot the dragon is animated in computer-generated imagery, the launch in scheduled on August 10 in Italy and on August 12 in the US.

Trama / Plot
Nel nord-est degli Stati Uniti, in un passato recente, la guardia forestale Grace Meacham trova un bambino nel bosco, Pete, che apparentemente sembra cresciuto in quei luoghi e racconta che il suo compagno di giochi è Eliott, un drago verde, la cui descrizione assomiglia ai racconti del padre di Grace, a cui lei non ha mai creduto.
Grace cercherà così di capire il mistero che si nasconde dietro a Pete ed Eliott aiutata da suo papà, Jack (il fidanzato di Grace) e Natalie (la figlia di Jack).

In the Northeastern United States, in a recent past, the ranger Grace Meacham find a child in the woods, Pete, who apparently seems to be grown up in those places and tells that his playmate is Eliott, a green dragon, whose description reminds of the stories of Grace’s father, whom she has never believed.
So Grace tries to understand the mystery that lies behind Pete and Eliott helped by her dad, Jack (Grace’s boyfriend) and Natalie (Jack’s daughter).

Commento / Review

“Il Drago Invisibile” è un’avventura per tutta la famiglia, che piacerà a nonni, genitori e bambini.
I bambini si identificheranno con il giovane protagonista e si innamoreranno del morbidissimo drago, gli adulti guarderanno il film spostando i temi della favola ad un livello più impegnato, si toccano anche argomenti come la deforestazione e l’affido, e i nonni non potranno che amare Robert Redford.
Gli effetti speciali, come ci si aspetta nei film Disney, sono impeccabili e la favolosa animazione del drago Eliott e del suo vello ci fa immergere completamente nella storia facendoci credere che Eliott potrebbe esistere davvero.
Consigliatissimo!

‘Pete’s Dragon’ is an adventure family movie, which will be appreciated by grandparents, parents and children.
The children will identify with the young protagonist and will love the soft dragon, adults will watch the film on a more committed level, focusing also on topics such as deforestation and custody, and the grandparents will appreciate Robert Redford.
The special effects, as expected in Disney movies, are impeccable and the fabulous animation of Eliott the Dragon and his fur makes us completely lose ourselves in the story making us believe that Eliott could really exist.
Highly recommended!
