Nel 1960 aprì a Chicago il primo Playboy Club… come festeggiarne ora il 50° anniversario?
Playboy Enterprises, in collaborazione con The Warhol Museum, ha chiesto ad alcuni artisti contemporanei, tra i quali pittori, illustratori e scultori, dai diversi stili street, surreali e anche kawaii, di interpretare la coniglietta di Playboy.

The first Playboy Club opened in Chicago in 1960… how to celebrate the 50th anniversary?
Playboy Enterprises, in collaboration with The Warhol Museum, has asked some contemporary artists, including painters, sculptors and illustrators that have different styles, like street, surreal and kawaii, to interpret the Playboy Bunny.

Le opere sono state raccolte nella mostra “Playboy Redux” organizzata da The Warhol Museum a Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania dal 28 marzo al 20 giugno 2010, ma chi se la fosse persa avrà dal 18 dicembre 2010 al 8 gennaio 2011 una seconda chance: presso la Copro Gallery di Santa Monica in California si terrà infatti la mostra “Playboy Redux ll” che, oltre alle 25 opere originarie, ne raccoglierà ben 45.

The works were collected in the exhibition “Playboy Redux” organized by The Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania from March 28 to June 20, 2010, but if you didn’t see it, you have a second chance from December 18, 2010, to January 8, 2011: the exhibition is called “Playboy Redux ll” and in addition to 25 original works, there are collected 45 at the Copro Gallery in Santa Monica in California.

La coniglietta di Playboy è da sempre una cameriera sexy che serve cocktail indossando un outfit sensuale e kawaii chiamato “bunny suit”: corsetto, polsini, colletto, codina bianca e orecchie da coniglio!
Gli artisti hanno proposto un nuovo look per la coniglietta del futuro e noi abbiamo selezionato quelle più kawaii: Bob Doucette l’ha immaginata in versione Venere del Botticelli, TIN come se fosse una bellissima ape e Jennybird Alcantara una cerbiatta rosa, Brian Viveros con uno dei suoi tipici caschi ma questa volta con le orecchie, Hiroki Otsuka in versione manga e Isabel Samaras come una femminile Babba Natale in versione kawaii con tre coniglietti al posto delle renne.

The Playboy Bunny has always been a sexy waitress who serves cocktails and wears a sexy kawaii outfit called “bunny suit”: corset, cuffs, collar, white tail and bunny ears!
The artists suggest a new look for the Bunny of the future and we have selected the most kawaii ones: Bob Doucette has imagined her like Botticelli’s Venus, TIN like a beautiful bee and Jennybird Alcantara like a pink deer, Brian Viveros with his typical helmets but this time with the ears, Hiroki Otsuka in manga version and Isabel Samaras like a female kawaii version of Santa Claus with three bunnies instead of reindeer.
