Non Solo Kawaii

Moduli neri all’interno di uno schema di forma quadrata su affissioni, riviste e siti internet… ma cosa sono?
Sono i QR Code (acronimo inglese Quick Response, Risposta Rapida): codici bidimensionali a matrice che, decodificati con un cellulare provvisto di fotocamera, permettono di ottenere informazioni testuali che contengono anche più di 4000 caratteri.
Alcuni cellulari hanno già questa applicazione, ma è anche possibile scaricarla attraverso siti come i-nigma e QuickMark.

Black squares in a square frame on billboards, magazines and websites… but what are they?
They are the QR Codes (an acronym for Quick Response): a two dimensional matrix codes, which can be read by a mobile phone with camera, for obtaining textual information, which can contain more than 4000 types.
Some mobile phones already have this application, but you can also download it in some websites like i-nigma and QuickMark.

Con una semplice fotografia attraverso il cellulare, possiamo scoprire testi e link che permettano di collegarci velocemente ad un sito, ad un video o ad un’immagine (il cellulare deve essere provvisto di connessione internet).
Ogni volta che si fotografa un QR Code è una sorpresa: non si sa mai cosa si possa nascondere in quei numerosi quadratini neri!

With a simple mobile phone with camera, we can find texts and links that connect us quickly to a website, a video or an image (the mobile phone must have an internet access).
Whenever you photograph a QR Code, there is a surprise: you never know what those black squares can hide!

• La Compagnia della Rancia - Cats

Grazie ai QR Code è possibile avere contenuti speciali che mezzi come le affissioni e la carta stampata non potrebbero dare.
La Compagnia della Rancia infatti, per la prima volta nel mondo del live entertainment, ha recentemente utilizzato i QR Code nelle nuove affissioni per promuovere il musical Cats su Milano. Grazie a questi codici è possibile accedere ai contenuti video, alla fanpage di Facebook del musical e acquistare i biglietti con promozioni esclusive.

QR Code can give special contents which billboards and print media could not give.
In fact “La Compagnia della Rancia” (an italian theatrical company), for the first time in the world of live entertainment in Italy, has recently used the QR Code in the new billboard of “Cats” to promote this musical in Milan.
These codes allow you to access the video contents, the Facebook fanpage of the musical and to buy the tickets with exclusive promotions.

Per noi kawaii girl, questi codici sono esteticamente poco kawaii! Non c’è nessun problema, forse proprio pensando a gente come noi che ama la grafica e i colori, sono stati inventati i Designed QR Code!
In Giappone, dove i QR Code sono nati nel 1994, per promuovere i siti mobile sono stati creati dei QR Code veramente artistici e colorati:

In Japan, where QR Codes were invented in 1994, very artistic and colorful QR Codes have been created to promote the mobile websites:

Louis Vuitton, in collaborazione con l’artista giapponese Takashi Murakami, ha creato un QR Code in stile superflat.
Relativo a questa collaborazione, qui di seguito potete vedere anche un video veramente kawaii intitolato “Superflat First Love”.
