Quick & Painful è uno show itinerante organizzato da Hope Gallery che vede uniti dei tattoo artist e dei pop artist per la realizzazione di Tattoo Flash e naturalmente per la vendita di stampe, opere originali e gadget.
I visitatori potranno scegliere nella serata dell’evento un Tattoo Flash (un disegno su un classico foglio 28cm x 35cm) tra tutte le bellissime e kawaii illustrazioni proposte che verrà tatuato alla modica cifra di 40$.
Lo show è davvero democratico, non esiste prenotazione e i primi visitatori avranno l’opportunità di essere tatuati durante la serata.

Quick & Painful is a traveling show organized by Hope Gallery which joins together tattoo artists and pop artists to make Tattoo Flashes, and of course to sell prints, original artworks and merchandising.
In the evening visitors can choose a Tattoo Flash (a drawing on a classic 11″ x 14″ piece of paper) among all the beautiful and kawaii illustrations presented that will be tattooed at the cheap price of $40.
The show is truly democratic, there is no reservation and the first visitors will have the opportunity to be tattooed in the evening.

1. Hai qualche tatuaggio?
No, non ne ho nessuno. Ci ho pensato ma ho deciso che non potevo non andare più negli onsen (stazioni termali giapponesi. Molte di queste non permettono l’entrata a chi è tatuato.).
2. Cosa provi quando vedi la tua arte disegnata in modo permanente sul corpo di qualcuno?
Sono felice ma anche responsabilizzata. Vorrei continuare a migliorare come artista per non rimpiangere di vedere la mia arte disegnata in modo permanente sul corpo di qualcuno.

1. Do you have any tattoos?
No, I don’t. I once thought about it but decided I can’t give up going to
onsen (Hot Springs in Japan. Most of them don’t allow tattooed people.).
2. How did you feel when you saw your art permanently on someones body?
I was happy but also felt responsible. I’d like to keep getting better as an artist so they won’t regret getting my art permanently on their bodies.

Ho dei meravigliosi lavori fatti da Chris O’Donnell, Jason Schroeder, Mark Heggie, Henry Lewis, Clay Decker, Clay Welsh, JK5 e Jason McAffee.
2. Cosa provi quando vedi la tua arte disegnata in modo permanente sul corpo di qualcuno?
La prima volta che l’ho vista non potevo crederci! È stata una sensazione bellissima. Per me è il miglior complimento, il segno estremo di rispetto e ammirazione per la mia arte.

I’ve had amazing work done by Chris O’Donnell, Jason Schroeder, Mark Heggie, Henry Lewis, Clay Decker, Clay Welsh, JK5, and Jason McAffee.
2. How did you feel when you saw your art permanently on someones body?
I couldn’t believe it the first time I saw it!! It was the most amazing feeling. To me it’s the ultimate compliment, the utmost sign of respect and admiration for my art.

Immagino che 40$ sia poco anche per loro, è un’offerta speciale a un numero limitato di persone che devono scegliere uno dei disegni proposti senza chiedere modifiche.
Molti dei disegni sono spettacolari ^__^

In molte terme, non in tutte, non si può entrare tatuati, penso perché in Giappone i tatuaggi vengono collegati al mondo della jakuza.
