Il Kawaii Team si è aggiudicato il 1° posto, nella categoria unghie naturali, al terzo concorso “Iconic Nails“, organizzato dal magazine bimestrale Love Nails.

The Kawaii Team won the 1st place, for natural nails, in the third contest “Iconic Nails“, held by the bi-monthly magazine Love Nails.

Il concorso consisteva nel realizzare delle manicure ispirate alle icone femminili e noi abbiamo dedicato la nostra nail art a Jessica Rabbit, celebre icona di seduzione. L’abbiamo intitolata “Why don’t you do right, like some other men do?”, come la canzone che canta Jessica nel club Inchiostro e Tempera. (Potete vedere la nostra serie di manicure dedicate al film “Chi ha incastrato Roger Rabbit” nell’articolo “Who Framed Orly Mineral FX?“)

The contest consisted in making a nail art inspired by a female icon and we have dedicated our entry to Jessica Rabbit, a popular sexy icon. We entitled it “Why do not you do right, like some other men do?”, like the song that Jessica sings at Ink and Paint Club.

“Chi ha incastrato Roger Rabbit” è uno dei film della nostra infanzia che più abbiamo amato, perché fantasia e realtà si mescolano e, vedersi catapultati in un mondo di cartoni animati, è un po’ il sogno di tutti bambini. Jessica ci piaceva perché ha un bellissimo vestito glitterato, che ci è saltato subito in mente guardando i nostri smalti preferiti della fine del 2011. Quale migliore occasione per unire la nostra passione per i cartoni animati e gli smalti glitterati?

“Who Framed Roger Rabbit” is one of the movies that we loved the most during our childhood, because reality and fantasy blur together and the dream of every child is to be part of the world of cartoons. We have loved Jessica because she wears a beautiful glittery dress, that we have reminded immediately watching our favorite nail polishes at the end of 2011. It was a perfect opportunity to combine our passion for cartoons and glitter nail polishes!

Il 28 febbraio siamo state invitate da Love Nails alla premiazione che si è tenuta presso Estetica International Roma, l’evento dedicato alla bellezza organizzato da Fiera Roma dal 28 al 30 febbraio.
Sveglia alle 5 del mattino. Partenza da Milano Malpensa alle 8:50 e arrivo a Roma Fiumicino alle 10:10. Qualche minuto di taxi ed… eccoci nel regno degli smalti!

On 28 February we were invited by Love Nails at the Award Ceremony at Roma international Estetica, the beauty fair organized in Rome from February 28 to 30.
We woke up at 5 am. We left from Milan Malpensa at 8:50 and we came in Rome Fiumicino Airport at 10:10. A few minutes by taxi and… here we are in the nail polish kingdom!

Alle 15 si è svolta la premiazione durante la quale Love Nails ha spiegato le sue motivazioni:
“Una pioggia di glitter rossi e viola prendono la forma dei simboli riconducibili alla donna animata più sexy del cinema. Jessica Rabbit si svela dietro alla stilizzazione di un sensuale décolleté, la sagoma del suo famigerato bustier a cuore, e dietro la simpatica rappresentazione del coniglio Roger. Armoniosa ed eseguita in modo ineccepibile.”

Tra le vincitrici la carinissima Sara Rosati di TrendyNail con una nail art ispirata ad Audrey Hepburn.

Love Nails explained the reason of our fist prize during the prize-giving at 3 p.m.:
“A red and purple glitter rain that take shape into the symbols of the sexiest woman of the animated films. Jessica Rabbit is revealed behind the stylization of her sensual décolleté, of the shape of her well-known heart bustier, and behind the nice representation of Roger Rabbit. Harmonious and flawlessly executed.”
Our prize was the dream of every woman: 75 ICE nail polishes and a coupon for a purchase on esteticapro.it offered by Independent Nails! We got a giant check, like in the movies *_*
The cute Sara Rosati of TrendyNail was one of the winners with a nail art inspired by Audrey Hepburn.

Insieme a Sara e Astasia, le due blogger di TrendyNail, abbiamo visitato la fiera e fotografato gli stand più interessanti secondo noi. Erano presenti moltissimi brand che si occupano di nail care, tra questi Orly, CND, Zoya, China Glaze e Independent Nails.

We visited the exhibition stands with Sara and Astasia, the two bloggers of TrendyNail, and we photographed the most interesting stands to us. There were a great number of nail care brands, including Orly, CND, Zoya, China Glaze and Independent Nails.

Erano esposte anche molte tip dipinte a mano che erano delle vere e proprie opere d’arte.
In particolar modo ci hanno colpito le nail art ispirate alla regina delle nevi del concorso indetto da Sun Flower.

There were also a lot of hand-painted tips displayed like real artworks.
In particular we loved the nail arts inspired by the Snow Queen of the contest organized by Sun Flower.

Alle 21:30, felici e contente, abbiamo ripreso l’aereo e quando siamo arrivate a Milano abbiamo trovato ad accoglierci la prima neve dell’anno.

It was an amazing day, we took off from Rome at 21:30 and when we arrived in Milan we were welcomed by the first snow of the year.
