Non Solo Kawaii

Un campo caravan posizionato sopra il tetto di un hotel.
Non è un sogno. L’Airstream Trailer Park,  è il primo nel suo genere e si trova in Sud Africa sopra il Grand Daddy hotel di Long Street di Cape Town ed ospita 7 roulotte Airstream vintage.

It’s not a dream. Airstream Trailer Park is the first of its kind, it’s in South Africa at Grand Daddy hotel in Long Street, Cape Town and there are 7 roulottes Airstream vintage.

WITW/DS, Whatiftheworld Design Studio, verso la fine del 2008, si è occupato della direzione creativa di questo progetto, affidando la progettazione e l’allestimento degli interni delle roulotte ad artisti locali, tra i quali Tamsin Relly, Chloe Townsend, Cara Rosa, Carla Soudien, Sarah Pratt, Tracy Lynch, Mark & Joe Stead, Brigitte Dewberry, Susan Woodley e Liam Mooney.
Alcuni interni sono decisamente kawaii: azzurro in stile provenzale con teste d’orso appese alla parete, rosa in stile barocco con impunture ed azzurro cielo cosparso di pois bianchi.
Sarebbe bellissimo soggiornare in questi piccoli mondi a tema.

In the end of 2008 WITW/DS, Whatiftheworld Design Studio, was involved in art direction of this project and entrusted interior design of roulottes to local artists, among them Tamsin Relly, Chloe Townsend, Cara Rosa, Carla Soudien, Sarah Pratt, Tracy Lynch, Mark & Joe Stead, Brigitte Dewberry, Susan Woodley and Liam Mooney.
Some interiors are really kawaii: light blue provecal-style and bear heads on the wall, pink baroque capitonnè, sky blue with pois pattern.
It would be wonderful spend a little time in these worlds theme wise.
