“Stories for Ways and Means” è un ambizioso progetto che ha impiegato 10 anni per essere realizzato grazie a un’idea di Jeff Antebi, fondatore dell’etichetta discografica Waxploitation, che ha voluto unire diversi talenti nel mondo dell’arte nella realizzazione di un libro di storie il cui ricavato sarà devoluto in beneficenza ad associazioni che si occupano di letteratura per bambini in Peasi colpiti dalla guerra (Room to Read, Pencils of Promise, 826 National).

‘Stories for Ways and Means’ is an ambitious project that took 10 years to see the light of day thanks to an idea of Jeff Antebi, record label Waxploitation founder, who wanted to match many different talent to create a story book whose proceeds will benefit organizations dedicated to children’s literacy (Room to Read, Pencils of Promise, 826 National).

Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre), Frank Black (Pixies), Laura Marling, Devandra Banhart, Alec Empire, Anna Von Hausswolff, Alison Mosshart (The Kills, Dead Weather) e Will Oldham (Palace Bros, Bonnie Prince Billy) sono solo alcuni dei 29 musicisti che hanno accettato di scrivere le storie, consigliate agli over 17, rappresentate da altrettanti illustratori, tra cui la nostra Alessia Iannetti.

Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre), Frank Black (Pixies), Laura Marling, Devandra Banhart, Alec Empire, Anna Von Hausswolff, Alison Mosshart (The Kills, Dead Weather ) and Will Oldham (Palace Brothers, Bonnie Prince Billy) are just some of the 29 musicians who agreed to write the stories, geared toward readers over age 17, represented by as many illustrators, including our Alessia Iannetti.

Il libro di 350 pagine e alcune stampe in edizione limitata sono disponibili sul sito ufficiale, il libro è in preordine e verrà spedito non appena sarà terminata la pubblicazione e verrà accompagnato da dei mini-film le cui voci narranti sono state prestate da diversi attori come Danny Devito, Zach Galifianakis, Nick Offerman, Phil LaMarr, King Krule e Lauren Lapkus.

The 350-page book and some limited edition prints are available on the official website, the book is on pre-order and will be shipped in 2017 as soon as the publication will be complete and guest narrators voices (Danny Devito, Zach Galifianakis, Nick Offerman, Phil LaMarr, King Krule and Lauren Lapkus) will accompany the short films of the stories.
