Superdoll Twist è la nuova bambola Superdoll Collectables, presentata in anteprima mondiale da Charles Fegen e Desmond Lingard, a Milano all’Hotel Sheraton Diana Majestic il 25 maggio.
Superdoll Collectables è un brand nato nel 1999 dal sogno di questi due creativi imprenditori londinesi, appassionati di haute couture, che hanno iniziato a commercializzare con grande successo le loro perfette e dettagliate miniature artigianali di alta moda dal 2004, con prezzi che partono dalle 200$, ma che possono anche superare le 20 mila sterline per le bambole ricche e realizzate in un unico esemplare.

Superdoll Twist is the new Superdoll Collectables doll, shown for the first time in the world by Charles Fegen and Desmond Lingard, at the Sheraton Diana Majestic Hotel in Milan on May the 25th.
Superdoll Collectables is a brand founded in 1999 by two creative entrepreneurs from London, haute couture lovers, who have begun to market with great success their perfect and detailed miniatures since 2004, the price starts from $200, but can be over 20000 pounds for rich and unique dolls.

Superdoll Twist, presentata in sei diversi look, è ispirata ad Abbe Lane, attrice e icona di bellezza degli anni ‘50, presente all’evento assieme a Charles Fegen e Desmond Lingard.
Abbe Lane ha contribuito a rivoluzionare in quegli anni l’immagine femminile:

“Voglio diventare una donna e un’attrice, non soltanto un sex symbol. Quello che voglio fare è mostrare alle persone che ho talento e non solo sex appeal”.

Superdoll Twist, presented in six different looks, is inspired by Abbe Lane, actress and beauty icon of the ’50s, who came at the event along with Desmond Lingard and Charles Fegen.
Abbe Lane helped revolutionize the concept of womanhood in those years:

“I want to become a woman and an actress, not just a sexy girl. What I have to do is show people I have talent in addition to sex appeal.”

In questo contesto riusciamo a capire più profondamente la partnership con il brand Elizabeth Arden, la cui fondatrice ha rivestito un ruolo fondamentale nella rivendicazione dell’indipendenza e della femminilità della donna, affiancando le Suffragette che reclamavano il diritto al voto per le donne, e di cui ne abbiamo già parlato in passato in un articolo.

In this context we can understand more deeply the partnership with Elizabeth Arden, whose founder has played a key role in claiming independence and femininity, supporting the Suffragette demonstrating for the right of women to vote, and we’ve already talked about this before in an article.

In questa occasione Elizabeth Arden ripropone il rossetto Ceramide Ultra nella tonalità Rose Aurora in edizione limitata, il colore creato nel 1957 da Miss Arden in persona, rosa antico con riflessi dorati, che all’epoca rappresentava il rifiorire della vita dopo gli anni bui del secondo conflitto mondiale.
Rose Aurora è un colore passepartout che dona ad ogni incarnato e può essere usato in ogni occasione, inoltre contiene Volulip, per ridensificare le labbra, e Ceramide Triple Complex, che rinforza la pelle e aiuta a trattenere l’idratazione.

On this occasion Elizabeth Arden proposes a limited edition of Ceramide Ultra lipstick in Rose Aurora, the color created by Miss Arden herself in 1957, a dusty pink with gold highlights, which at that time represented the beginning of a new life after the dark years of World War II.
Aurora Rose is a passepartout color that suit all skin tones and it’s perfect for every occasion, it also contains Volulip to redensify lips and Ceramide Triple Complex that strengthens the skin and helps to keep skin moisturized.
