Tim Walker nasce in Inghilterra nel 1970 e studia fotografia presso l’Exeter College of Art.

The passion for this art is born while he was working for Cecil Beaton at the Library of Condè Nast in London: “it was fate”. After his graduation in 1994 he moved to New York as Richard Avedon’s assistant (American photographer famous for his portraits in black and white). Then, back to home, he dedicated himself to portraits and documentaries.
In 1995 he began his career as a fashion photographer and his first feature for Vogue which determines the current fellowship.

He himself is, before his audience, a modern Peter Pan who loves to see things in his own way, living an eternal youth. Imagine a world populated by blue elephants, pastel-colored cats, beautiful lamp clothes-shaped and airplanes made of bread.
Penso che sia un metodo molto valido.”“I am very childlike in my feelings about things, and the way I look at the world.”
“I know the world that I am painting is not a reality. It is a whim, an entertainment to provoke something in people, whether as escapism or relief. I think that is very valid.”Tim Walker, Vogue Inghilterra Maggio 2008 / British Vogue May 2008

The photo session, titled Tim Burton’s Magical Fashion, collects photographs inspired by the famous Tim Burton’s films, as Edward Scissorhands and Nightmare Before Christmas.
“My mother is a cook, and photography is like cooking in a way – a bit of a memory with a bit of something that you’ve seen on a film, together with something you’ve read in a book, and then a certain colour. And you mix it up to create a new picture.”

This work is really amazing! (*O*)
“It rained outside so we camped inside”!
