La mostra si intitola “Venus Cake” e raccoglie una serie di quadri di Junko Mizuno con tema “food obsession” fino al 20 aprile presso la galleria Narwhal Project di Toronto.

The exhibition is titled “Venus Cake” and it is composed by a collection of Junko Mizuno’s paintings that represent the “food obsession” until April 20 at the Narwhal Project gallery in Toronto.
Probably, those, who have the good fortune to watch this exhibition in person, will get hungry!

Sono acrilici su carta dove le tinte pastello sono accostate a contorni netti. Una delle peculiarità di questi, e molti altri acrilici di Junko, è l’utilizzo del colore oro la cui texture diversa fa risaltare fiamme e fiorellini stilizzati. Gli stessi quadri sono esposti anche nella versione a matita.
They are acrylic on paper where pastel colors are matched with clear lines. One of the features of these, and many other Junko’s acrylic paintings, is the use of gold, which has a different texture to make flames and stylized flowers stand out. The same pictures are also displayed in the pencil version.
