Zutto è un’illustratrice russa di 27 anni cresciuta a Miass, una piccola città negli Urali circondata da monti, foreste e una natura selvaggia fortemente presente nei suoi lavori.

Zutto is a 27 year-old illustrator from Russia, she grew up in Miass, a small city in the Ural surrounded by mountains, forests and a wild nature that is very present in her works.

Zutto è laureata in Design di Interni, non ha un’istruzione specifica nell’ambito dell’illustrazione vettoriale e si definisce autodidatta, ma ha sempre amato illustrare e disegnare fin da piccola. Questa passione è diventata un mestiere dopo aver appreso l’uso dei programmi di grafica nelle agenzie in cui ha lavorato prima di diventare freelance.

Zutto has a degree in Interior Design, she haven’t a special education for vector illustration and she defines herself self-taught, but she has always loved drawing and illustrating since she was a little girl. This passion became a job after learning the use of graphics programs in the agencies where she worked before becoming a freelancer.

Zutto non si separa mai dalla sua moleskine per prendere appunti e disegnare schizzi che consulta quando è in cerca di ispirazione. Inizia una nuova opera con un grande schizzo che serve per avere un’idea chiara, ma è solo durante la fase di realizzazione che l’illustrazione prende vita in seguito a diverse revisioni.

Zutto takes her moleskin everywhere with her to note down and to draw sketches that are scrolled through when she is looking for inspiration. She starts a new work with a big sketch to see idea more clearly, but only during the working process the illustration comes to life after some changes.

Noi adoriamo il suo stile non solo perchè è kawaii, ma perchè nelle sue illustrazioni si può spesso trovare un filo narrativo da seguire tra i diversi dettagli, ma anche un lato spirituale che emerge dalla rappresentazione della natura che incute un certo timore e allo stesso tempo maestosità.

We love her style, not only because it’s kawaii, but because it’s possible to find a narrative thread among the many details in her illustrations, but also a spiritual side that emerges from the representation of nature that inspires a certain awe and majesty at the same time.

Anche a me “Where Stars Come From” piace moltissimo, ha anche un significato poetico che mi conquista… è impossibile scegliere comunque, Zutto è davvero bravissima!
